Must-see video

What is said in this interview seems to echo a lot of what I've read in In Their Own Voices, a must-read for those adopting transracially. Thanks for posting this, Filoli.

And over here, a well-written perspective from a Christian social worker and mom on an important issue.

And Lori, you're twice as cool for having shared this awesome video.

I love the bond this kid and his mom have. It's so cute, they're like mom and son but best friends, too. Great testimony.

Thanks for posting this!

Fantastic clip. Do you think if we moved to Portland that Gabe and Stella could go to the same school?

Thank you so much for posting the video and link to the Albertson's. Both are great resources!

Great clip! I love the ease those two have; not always a given, regardless of race! (but you know when it happens, w/ your own kid it is the greatest thing as they get older...I'm getting glimmers and it's a gift).

I agree w/ what you've read in that book (one of many on 'the list of must reads') and that we hear in this clip. Important stuff. Thanks Lori!

I don't know if it is where we live, or who we hang out with, or the "don't mess with me vibe" I exude (just kidding), but most folks are welcoming and kind towards our little multi-cultural family. Heck, we are the new "normal" - 4 people who hang together not because of biology but because we love each other and are lucky enough to have found each other. I feel blessed every day :-)and hope my kids can come away with as much confidence as the young man in the clip.

I loved this Lori and just might steal it from you.... So good at confirming all that I have already felt and read. AND, also making me freak out a little because of the lack of diversity amongst our friends/church/neighborhood/LIFE! I want that to change, but feel at a loss as to where to begin.
