What we'll be doing tomorrow, just on a smaller scale. On a hot Oregon day. Shoulder-shimmy, anyone? Maybe it's the late night, but this video just made me want to cry.

Oh man!... That was really great, but even better was my 7 1/2 yr. old son's reaction as he came running into the room..."I know that song! I really know that song! I don't know what it means, but my Dad in Ethiopia was kind of like a library man and he had that song!" This is amazing to me b/c they have been here for over 1.5 years and prior to that, in an orphanage for 2.5 years. Wow - music really imprints images of beauty (and perhaps images of things lost) on pure souls. Do you know what this song is about so I can remind my son? He and his biological brother lost the beautiful language of their birth in just months of being in our family. Such is life, but it is a tragedy for me and I suspect will be one day for them as well?
