This evening, this could be heard in our living room:
Lori (looking up briefly from her book): Ugh! This would so never happen!*
Ted: Um, aren't you reading a teen vampire novel?.
Posts about our camping trip or that "Abe announcement" I alluded to a few days ago seem to be put on hold, thanks to technical delays and my starting Twilight, the book "all the cool kids are reading" (right, Caroline? Have you got it yet?).
*I was referring specifically to the blood-typing lab done in the Forks High School biology class

Funny Stuff!! Wait until Breaking Dawn....uh....it gets really unbelievable.
Have fun reading!!!
I did get it, and I have read it! Will hold off on opinions until you have finished it...
Yes, but tell us all, has a teen vampire named Edward Cullen dazzled you yet??
:-)
My daughter just read that this weekend. In less than 24 hours, she had completely devoured it!! Now I have to go buy the next one! It looks like I'll be reading it next.
seriously, all the cool kids are reading this book.
I need a new book, maybe I'll check it out.
I had thought about getting the book, but thought it might play into the strange fear of vampires I had as a kid -- I always slept with the covers pulled up above my neck (as though this would stop a vampire?) Too much Dark Shadows I think. So is Ted in Oregon, someone who looked a lot like him poked their head into my office looking for the casting call taking place next door.
I love Edward. Be still my beating, blood flowing heart.
Yep, all the cool kids are reading the Twilight Series: Lily, Stephanie...The movie comes out on November 21st. Several of us cool kids are going to watch it that night.
Also, on Stephenie Meyer's website http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/
you can read...Midnight Sun. It is a draft she was working on, but got leaked to the public before she was finished with it. She chose to post it to her website, because she knew her fans would be out searching for it and she would rather them just get it from her. Midnight Sun is basically Twilight, but told from Edward's point of view.
My daughter, Hannah, is reading that book too. How about you put it down for a sec and share the announcement =)
...dying to know what it is.
Blessings,
Debbie
I hear ya, Debbie. We've got a technical snag too though which is the bigger factor :)
That is funnnnnyyyy!! I laughed out loud! I might have to read those books, you are all getting me very interested!!
I'm still laughing at you! I thought the same thing when I read it too! (Cause all the other stuff really WOULD happen right?)
I bought the book for out trip to ET not even knowing the publicity or anything surrounding it until after.... Long story short, I read one page due to the monumental event taking place and my lack of interest in ANYTHING else!
So after reading how much Julie loves the series and her hubby is working on the movie and then reading your post I decided it was time to grab it and make time to read! Well, that was yesterday and I'm almost halfway through!
I'm glued - perhaps it's the 90210 school girl still in me! Love it!
