The big event happened two weeks ago today while we were visiting Ted at work on a TV show set in Van Nuys (do we have a future actor on our hands?) which explains the odd location in the video. And now, our life is pretty different. Click here to see what most evenings are like now in our house.

What a beautiful thing to watch on a dreary wet day in Portland. Linda
Dadgummit! My youtube is broke! I keep seeing flashes - enough to gt the idea, I think, but no actual proper moving. Well, if he's doing what I think he's doing, chase after him and say congratulations from me!! How clever!
Fantastic video!! Abe is too much! What a cutie! He's learning just in time for M to come home... I can't wait to see them running around the back yard together!
Just. Too. Funny.!!!!! We were cheering him on from here! Little Man came in and kept asking, "Is that Gabe? He has the same hair. He has the same shirt." No honey, it's Abe. "oh. Is that Gabe?" Too funny. GO Abe!!!!!!!!!!!
Lori, I just want to apologize to you for having a vitriolic spasm on my blog on the same day that people from your blog happened to click over on mine due to the link you posted. Totally not intentially. Sorry about the timing. Rough day...
Lol...that video is amazing...I don't know what part I like best, the slide scene breaking into 4 shots, the sitting up, the end with the eyes...man, the whole thing was just genius and the cutest learning to walk video of all time. My youngest nephew is still in the standing-to-gumby leg stage. Bravo for shooting and editing a true classic is made.
oh man, I just about died laughing at him in the car seat-our littlest one will hear a feather drop and wake up-it drives me INSANE!!!!!! I pray we get a good sleeper this time!!!
Love the video..that was so fun to watch...and GO ABE!! You are such a great walker...Auntie Jocelyn is very proud of you...oh and I'll tell Mommy to leave you alone when you are sleeping:-)
That was so funny and cute that I literally have tears from laughing! We all watched it together before putting Rhett to bed. First we watched a few Monster Mash videos on YouTube though... Let's get together... I want to see that walking action in person.
Hysterical. Our son is just learning to walk and my husband just leaned over to say, "Is that what we have to look forward to? .... Cool." :) Such a cute video.
OMGOSH!!! LOL! Okay, I meant to come back and watch that video, and Craig said to me, "Did you watch the video on the Rooney blog yet? It's the best one I've seen ever." I replied that I had not watched it yet. So, I came back to sit here for a few moments and watch it and HOHHOOO!!! That is hilarious. That has got to be the CUTEST thing ever - you guys crack me up, so clever!!!!!
WOW! That video gave me goosebumps! I especially loved the part where he continued pushing the tricycle after he fell to his knees. Dessi is making all the exact faces and movements as little Abe -- I think she will step out herself as soon as she gets the courage up.
I had lost touch with your blog for many months and am so happy to check in and to see how fabulous you all are doing. I will look again soon -- this is MUCH more relaxing than reading political blogs.
oh that was great! Congrats to Abe on his big news! Micah and I watched the video together and while I was laughing rather loudly, he was clapping and signing for more. We loved it!

That was great!!! Rocky has to be one of my favorite movies of all time...and I have to say that I like Abe better than Sly :)
Yea! Abe...you are such a good walker now. Just think of all the places you can go and all the things you can see now. Proud of you!!!
The end part of him sleeping cracked me up. I don't think I have ever seen a baby sleep so sound.
Amy
Woo Hoo Abe! Lori you are hilarious! Love it.
actually, eighth time lucky, I got that to work! What a hilarious video!
Yeah Abe!!! He is determined, if he's gonna walk he'll walk, gonna sleep he'll sleep.
Julie: all credit goes to Ted with the video. I shot it all but Ted is the genius behind the editing :)
that was awesome.

Well, he can't be Baby Abey any more. He needs a new name that denotes his toddler status.
